National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit – Sikkim Government Science College Chakung.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Sikkim Government Science College Chakung is dedicated to promoting social responsibility, leadership, and community service among students. Through various outreach programs and activities, the NSS unit aims to instil values of civic duty, volunteerism, and teamwork while contributing to the welfare of society.
Objectives of NSS:
- Develop students' personalities through community service.
- Foster a sense of social responsibility and leadership.
- Create awareness on various social issues.
- Build a strong sense of national integration and unity.
Activities of the NSS Unit:
- Community Outreach: Participation in cleanliness drives, tree plantations, blood donation camps, and health awareness programs.
- Workshops & Training: Skill development workshops, leadership training, and disaster management programs.
- Awareness Campaigns: Addressing issues such as environmental conservation, public health, literacy, and more.
NSS volunteers are provided opportunities to grow both personally and professionally, gaining valuable experiences while making a positive impact on society.
