State Level Webinar on Integration of Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning

The Research Development Cell (RDC) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sikkim Government Science College, Chakung are organizing a State Level Webinar on “Integration of Advanced Digital Technology and AI in Teaching and Learning for  Faculties in Higher Education.” The webinar will be conducted on 17th March 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM through Google Meet.

The rapid advancement of digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed the teaching-learning landscape in higher education. This webinar aims to familiarize faculty members with emerging AI tools and digital platforms that support innovative and learner-centered pedagogical practices. The session will focus on integrating experiential learning, blended learning models, and technology-enabled teaching methods in accordance with current UGC guidelines and national educational priorities.

The keynote speaker for the webinar is Prof. K. Srinivas, Head of the ICT & Project Management Unit at the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Prof. Srinivas is a distinguished academic and researcher in the areas of Artificial Intelligence in Education, MOOCs, e-learning, ICT-enabled pedagogy, and digital governance in education. His session will highlight the role of AI-driven tools, virtual learning environments, and digital platforms in enhancing teaching effectiveness and student engagement.

The event is being organized under the guidance of Dr. Iyatta M. Uprety, Principal, Sikkim Government Science College, Chakung, and coordinated by Dr. Zigmee T. Bhutia, Vice Principal and Webinar Coordinator.
